Feeding time at the Zoo

We headed to the zoo today to make the most of the predicted fine weather however, it turns out that there is no day without rain & wind at the moment so it was lucky we all rugged up.  We got there around 10.30am which meant that we got to see a lot of the animals being fed. The lions were amazing, doing laps of their pen whilst the zookeeper placed the raw meat around the enclosure and then they all raced out and leapt up the trees to grab their lunch. Great to see. We also finally got to see a platypus (usually hiding whenever we’ve been to the zoo before) and also the nocturnal porcupines who were eating corn cobs out of the zookeepers hand.  A fun morning running around and taking photos…
